Annual Plan
An Annual Plan (Annual Development Plan) is a comprehensive document outlining the development activities and projects that a Gram Panchayat intends to implement during a financial year (from April 1 to March 31).
The Annual Plan is prepared by considering the development objectives of the Gram Panchayat, the needs of the people, and government guidelines. It is a development document formulated through public participation. The needs and demands raised by the people in Gram Sabha meetings are transformed into development projects, thereby contributing to the social, economic, and infrastructure development of the Panchayat.
Therefore, the Annual Plan serves as a fundamental instrument for the development activities of Local Self-Government Institutions. In addition to the schemes of the Government of Kerala and the Government of India, the Panchayat implements projects based on the needs of the local population, giving appropriate priority to various sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
