Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls – Pallikkathode, Kottayam

Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls is a beautiful natural tourist destination located near Pallikkathode in Kottayam district, Kerala. The waterfall is situated only about 2 kilometres from Pallikkathode town.

Best Time to Visit

The monsoon season, from June to September, is the best time to visit Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. During the rainy season, the water flow becomes stronger and the waterfall is at its most spectacular. During the summer, the volume of water may decrease considerably.

Visiting Hours

According to DTPC Kottayam, the waterfall is open every day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Current information indicates that there is no entrance fee.

How to Reach

  • By Road: From Kottayam, travel to Pallikkathode and then proceed to Aruvikkuzhi.
  • By Train: The nearest major railway station is Kottayam, approximately 19–21 km away.
  • By Air: Cochin International Airport is approximately 85–88 km away.

The famous St. Mary's Church is also situated above the waterfall.
